Doug Stuart is a dedicated professional photographer with twenty five years experience of events and portrait photography. Beginning as a holiday camp photographer shooting portraits in a portable studio, he went on to study photography at GCSE and A Level before completing a Higher National Diploma in Commercial Photography at Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge, in 2007. 

Doug has photographed Cambridge University Archaeologists annual dinner at Robinson College, King's College Boat Club team, Emmanuel College Ball, and formal group portraiture for Eton College. His published images include a full product catalogue for Sophisticated Games, a Cambridge-based board games company, and various commissions for the National Extension College, Cambridge, resulting in two published front cover images. He has also produced work for the Cambridge University Press on several occasions, including the front cover image for their book 'So You Think You Know English?' by Clare West. In 2020, Doug started part time work as County Press and Public Relations Officer for Cambridgeshire Army Cadet Force and is that organisation's principal photographer, work that resulted in him being awarded The Commandant's Coin for Excellence and being congratulated by the Lord Lieutenant of Cambridgeshire. 

Doug is a Licentiate of the British Professional Photographers Associates, a qualification awarded by The Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers in recognition of his photographic experience.

Since 2008 Doug has worked mainly as a wedding photographer in Cambridgeshire and developed a great passion for wedding photography, and recently photographed his 350th wedding. Doug photographs in a largely traditional style, and his pictures have been published in the Wedding Planner magazine, Professional Photo magazine, Royal Life Magazine and many different newspapers.

Doug has lived and worked as a wedding photographer in both Cambridge and Ely and developed a love of and local knowledge of both of these fine cities.
